Tuesday's games were well-played, competitive, controversial and even the Connecticut win was close in the fourth quarter. The WNBA product was at its best, really, and of course, rolling tape of Hamby's Sunday shot was fun too.

OK, the call on Plum was missed, but that happens in every basketball league, at every level, all the time. That's hardly a damning negative, and just another thing to talk about.

Let's hope the rest of the playoffs continue to be this kind of high-level basketball, and the ratings reflect it. (Oh and the atmosphere in D.C. was tremendous -- I think the nay-sayers on that move should stand down.)

Sorry Chicago fans, but ESPN is probably going to run that Hamby tape ad nauseam just like they did with Ogunbowale's shot against Mississippi State.

I'd argue the Sunday games (LA/Seattle first half, and full Chicago/Vegas game) were also super exciting and well played, regardless of the "newsiness" of the Hamby shot.

In other news, these playoffs Plum looks like a WNBA All-star? seems like she's become very good at both passing and taking the ball to the rim.
