Anybody notice Ruocco accidentally gave the draft order away in the second quarter? He asked who would get it out of NY, Dallas, Indy or Atlanta. In that order. That wasn’t the order of the draft odds. I kinda figured we had it at that point.

They wouldn't give him the order.

That masterful 7 pt fourth quarter may have saved Katie Smith's job. Surprised

Perfect player to fill a need for your team AND from the area too. Looks like it worked out well for both our teams here.

But at least they have a championship

Fever may have only gotten the #3 pick last year, but honestly, even if they had landed the #1 pick, they probably still should have drafted McCowan--based on their needs at the time, and, in hindsight, how good she was her rookie year (Collier would have also been a good fit, but no one was projecting her as a #1).

Yeah, it's a bummer to get locked out of the Ionescu/Cox sweepstakes, but they should get Vivians back next year, and a McCowan playing 30mpg, which automatically upgrades their capabilities.

And if Sabally/Carter come out, a #3 pick becomes a lot more desirable.

It's funny ... I asked Sabrina Saturday who she wanted to win the lottery, and she didn't even know which teams were in it.

I think the only thing she was hoping for was to play for a team that wound up at the Chase Center in S.F., but it doesn't look like that's happening in 2020.
