Rumors abound that Bueckers, Brunelle and Azzi Fudd are personally tight and will go to Notre Dame. Other rumors favor UConn.

Could happen, but odd that they are being linked as they graduate high school in three different years 2020, 2019 and 2021. But they did all play on the 2017 USA Women's U16 National Team Fudd and Brunelle live 91 miles apart in Virginia, but are two years apart in age.

Katie Lou Samuelson is one of four nominees for the Honda Award, along with Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Mitchell and A'ja Wilson.
UConn has had 11 Honda Sports Award winners: Breanna Stewart (2014, ’15, ’16), Maya Moore (2010, ’11), Renee Montgomery (2009), Diana Taurasi (2003), Sue Bird (2002), Shea Ralph (2000), Jennifer Rizzotti (1996) and Rebecca Lobo (1995). |

I really like Brunelle ... she's tall, skilled, athletic enough, versatile and understands the game.
She will be a great get, someone you can build a recruiting class around.

Hmmm . . . does Brunelle have more of a UConn look or a Notre Dame look? I think its actually more of a Deep South look. |

UConn needs to get the black queen from 2019 because, upon some research, the most persuasive rumors (to me) have Brunelle going to South Bend, possibly for the reason bballjunkie states. |

South Carolina is one of the five final schools Texas A&M junior forward Anriel Howard is considering for a potential transfer, her mother, Che Howard, told The State on Thursday. |
Quote: |
Che Howard declined to name the four other schools USC is competing against for Anriel's services, but she did say that of the five finalists, two advanced to the most recent Final Four on the NCAA tournament and two others, South Carolina being one, made it to the Sweet 16.
Notre Dame, Connecticut, Louisville and Mississippi State were this year's Final Four participants. |

Primarily one poster, who holds him or herself out as close to the Brunelle family, has convinced the Boneyard that Samantha Brunelle, once a UConn lean, is now Notre Dame bound, mainly because the UConn staff allegedly hasn't communicated with her since offering a scholarship in January while other schools have continued in hot pursuit.
Assuming that's true, one theory is that Geno is pursuing more athletic forwards from 2019 such as The Black Queen (of Ivory Coast + Ghana => Canada) and Haley Jones of powerhouse (but pining) Archbishop Mitty in San Jose. Herewith Jones:

Based on these always misleading all-makes videos, Ossining's unranked Aubrey Griffin arguably looks more athletic than Jones. At least I'll be able to see Griffin in person soon. |

In the Jordan Brand Classic AA Game:
- ONO shot 5-8, 0-1, 2-2 for 12 points, along with five rebounds, one assist and one block.
- Christyn Williams shot 4-10, 0-3, 3-4 for 11 points, along with nine rebounds, one assist and one steal.
ONO was the only player to dunk in practice:

She also stood for the national flag of basketball:

Honestly who cares. Every last thing I predicted came true about the 2018 huskies ending.
EVERY. LAST. THING. I said the second he 86ed Walker they were toast because she was needed SIMPLY to keep the starters out of foul trouble. They are not great defenders to begin with! He did not want to part with any of his starters for ANY reason. PERIOD! Even when the matchups did not favor them!
And now Auriemma is playing the "This is the world we live in" card in his end of years interviews.
I am seriously thinking of sending him and Chris Dailey one of those emails they hate receiving! That's how PISSED I am!

She should play in the B12. They like blonds with dark roots down there.

In terms of UCONN 2018-19, I think their success will depend on the growth and development of two players: Megan Walker and Batouly Camara. Walker showed promise as the top player in her class but was hampered by injury. Camara was solid at Kentucky, but hasn't shown much since joining UCONN. Next year, she should play more of a role, mainly out of necessity. Williams and ONO are great, but I don't think Freshmen truly make a substantial difference (Chennedy Carter is a rarity).
On the topic of Howard, she would be quite the get for UCONN. She would instantly make an impact on this team. I believe Howard wants to do broadcast journalism long term, so you have to wonder if ESPN being so close would be tempting to her. I am not holding out too much hope for her. I could easily see her going West to UCLA or something of that nature. But she would be a really nice addition.
In the autopsy if this season's UCONN team, there have been many places to blame but I think honestly the issue with this team is there's not that bonafide superstar in all aspects. Sure, Lou and Collier are great players, but they are a bit timid. We need someone with the attitude of a Dolson or a Taurasi. The good news is I feel like UCONN does best when people count them out, and heading into next season, it appears more people are counting the Huskies out for next season. Let's see how the squad reacts.

Uconn were keeping a lot under wraps this year. I spoke with Glenn about it earlier in the season. Crystal was rendered ineffective due to the shin splints as they needed her to be a pest full court and she was unable. Gabby dealt with soreness as she never got to rest, which could be blamed on Geno for the lack of help from the bench as there are 2 different arguments to be made that the bench themselves would not push through. KLS could have been lost for the season early on but chose to delay surgery and literally played on one leg, i’d Say she didn’t do too badly considering. Plus they did it it without whining or complaining.

Uconn is at it's best when it is playing switching man to man. Obviously Dangerfield is a problem with this defense and Stevens clearly couldn't pick up any defense as they kept having to go into a zone when she was in.
