I think that March Madness app is actually the CBS app rebranded.

What I am more disappointed by is that ESPN'S "Tournament Challenge" app only includes the men's tournament, as far as I can tell.

I can understand an app linked to the telecasts only working with one tournament, considering different networks have the contracts for the two tourneys.

But I see no excuse for ESPN, which runs bracket games for both tournaments, not including both tournaments in its app.
