Ohhh, my.
Well, I shall enjoy this matchup on so many levels. First and foremost, I don't know what to anticipate with the centers. Neither Chantel nor ViVi will have to be too concerned about the other beating them down the court. ViVi WILL have to be concerned about perimeter defense, if Chantel decides to go all 3s on offense. I'm thinking Sooners might have to go in shifts, on the defense of Kelsey. Maybe keep Maddie on her?
May the Basketball Goddesses keep up their smiling upon the Sooners from 3-pt land....a repeat performance like tonight's vs. Gonzaga could be most helpful.
I'd also like to see Nancy get some more playing time....I think she could have a major impact.
Meanwhile, may they rest well, and be ready to give us a game deserving of their seedings.

Oklahoma will pull off the upset.V.Louis-Pierre is going to cause problems for Osahor. She's big, strong, has a great wing span, and can get up and down the court.Osahor will struggle in this basketball game.
Oklahoma wins by 5+ points.

While I'd LIKE to believe this, I'm not so clear on that.....i'm thinking Chantel is the one gonna cause ViVi fits....she's not so good at guarding the perimeter, and Chantel is always camping out there for her Wrist-Flicking clinics. But it should be a good matchup: NEITHER is too nimble afoot.
I hope Maddie starts out guarding Kelsey. Has any Pac12 team had luck with stopping Plum by putting length on her?

Oh my, Sherri Coales might have had the corniest halftime speech ever!
LET''S GO HAVE SOME FUN! Complete in Valley girl voice.
And how fitting Gail Goestenkors, the originator of the LET'S GO HAVE SOME FUN halftime speech, is calling the game!

Shockingly, LET'S HAVE FUN (delivered in Valley girl voice) apparently has not motivated the Sooners.

I don't think it is uncommon for women's coaches to talk about having fun. I remember being puzzled when Gail Goestenkors, after intensely berating her team at halftime, ended her annoyed lecture by sternly saying something like "Now let's go out and have fun".

I continue to be underwhelmed by Mulkey. She's too timid and afraid of physical contact. UVA has a player just like her, a 6'9 toothpick with the same attitude. They should get together in a gym somewhere over the summer and challenge each other with weights, for a start. Then they need to go out and practice with some large, tough guys until they're not scared any more. Mulkey looks ridiculous next to Osahor.
