Purdue's Bree Horrocks will miss the season with a knee injury. Also, in-season transfers have already begun. Virginia loses center Debra Ferguson but she wasn't really playing much at all in her short time at Virginia.

Without scouring the entire thread, I've had no luck in finding anything about Stanford's highly touted freshman, Anna Wilson, though she's not appeared in any games. Anybody know anything about her status?

She's out due to concussions. No return set.

Took a name off the list, Kendyl Brooks for Virginia Tech was going to redshirt her freshman year, but due to their lack of depth she just began playing the other day.

Japreece Dean is transferring from Texas Tech.
Dean ranked second on the team in points (12.5) and led the team in assists (3.3) last season. She also led all Big 12 freshmen in points per game, free throw percentage, assists and assist to turnover ratio and she was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week six times, the first Lady Raider in Big 12 history to do so.

USC(Southern Cal) was playing without Jordan Adams tonight, following a torn ACL suffered by the redshirt senior in USC’s previous game (Nov. 23 vs. Portland in Anchorage, Alaska).
Adams redshirted her freshman year, after 7 or 8 games, with a knee injury.

I was really looking forward to seeing Adams this year after that weirdness with academia last year.
Fast healing to all.

Louisville PG Arica Carter is going to miss this season and will redshirt. She had not played in any of the games for the Cards this year.

How did the Lady Griz offend the gods of basketball this year?

Robin Selvig took all his offerings and left. That should just about do it. Seriously though, the Lady Griz are being snakebitten.

Senior guard Imani Tate, the leading scorer for the UAlbany women's basketball team, is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury to her left foot.
Tate, who averages a team best 20.4 points per game, did not play in the Great Danes' latest game, a 64-53 overtime loss at Yale on Saturday.

Purdue's Tiara Murphy is also out with an injury.
However, it was not all good news on Sunday. Midway through the third quarter, sophomore guard Tiara Murphy went down with what appeared to be a right knee injury after an awkward landing. She was helped off the court and did not return.
Murphy’s injury comes at a very inopportune time for the Boilermakers, who on Sunday kicked off a stretch of four games in eight days.

6'4 Debra Ferguson is transferring from Virginia to JMU. Whoopee! We need the height! She is the 5th player to transfer from UVA in the last 3 years.

Wisconsin has suspended Avyanna Young indefinitely. They were already bad to begin with, but losing one of your top players at this stage is going to hurt.

We'll find out about Audrey-Ann Caron-Goudreau soon, but quite honestly, it was a replay of what I saw when Kayla Cooper-Williams of JMU went down with an ACL earlier this year. It would not surprise me.

Yeesh. Sux for her, but.....at least she's got a twin on the bench.

That situation seems ludicrous to me. Both twins spent one year at Vandy, then left. Audrey-Ann went to a JUCO for one year, then to Texas where she is playing as a junior. Khaleann went from Vandy to Texas, sat out a year as a transfer, and is now a red-shirt sophomore. I know those are the rules but I don't see the point.

Florida's leading scorer has quit the team.
Sophomore Eleanna Christinaki, who averaged 17.6 points while starting the first nine games of the season, left the 23rd-ranked Gators (7-3) after refusing to accept a suspension. Christinaki and freshman Delicia Washington were suspended for the first half Sunday against North Carolina A&T for what coach Amanda Butler called "a little discipline from some behavior that is not becoming of a Gator and not part of our culture."
Washington played the second half in Florida's 67-38 victory at Gulf Coast State College. Butler said Washington handled it "very maturely, very much like a woman." The coach said Christinaki "quit on her team," but that other players dealt with her absence well.
"Our team handled that with just a great deal of pride, a great deal of grace and effort and energy," Butler said.
A native of Athens, Greece, Christinaki was named to the All-Southeastern Conference freshman team last season. She was second on the team in scoring and led the Gators in assists and minutes played. Christinaki's bio was quickly removed from the team website. |

Hard to judge without all the details, but Butler does sound a little flaky here.
