Google says the AAC was founded in 1979.

Why should anyone pay the slightest attention to the conference that has produced the last 3 NCAA champions? Rolling Eyes

I had to vote "other"....I think it's going to be UConn in 3rd.

(PS--someone might wanna inform Texas Christian University their conference play just got a lot easier!) Razz

I'm trying to figure out who this question presupposes will finish second

It's not obvious to me.

I'm guessing South Florida, as the team that's been the only thing vaguely resembling competition in the AAC, but it might be Tulane someday. Oh, you crazy former conjoined twin of my conference. Bless your football-craving hearts.

Remove UConn from the AAC and it could be an interesting mid-major conference, on par with the OVC, C-USA, or the CAA.

TCU is in the Big 12. Can't figure out why it's nearly winning the poll. Did you mean ECU?

No.

TCU is intentionally there because it is consistent with the snarky but revelatory purpose of the poll.

TCU almost jumped to the Big East shortly before the divorce, IIRC.

IIRC, they changed direction in mid air after Pitt and Syr announced they were leaving. TCU had already filed to leave the MWC and announced they were joining the BE. It was a done deal.
