At Baylor and at South Carolina will obviously be incredibly tough, but it's a pretty big drop-off from there.

Michigan and Iowa are not to be overlooked.

Michigan will also be visiting San Diego State on 12/9. I've got my flight booked. Smile

So has KBA announced which school she's going to use as an excuse to come visit the family? Wink

JMU hasn't finalized their schedule yet, but it was just announced that they will open their season at home on Nov. 11 against none other than Tennessee!

Oh boy...my loyalties will be severely tested, for several reasons! Although since living here I have become a pretty serious JMU fan, I have to admit that I still bleed orange. Besides that, I will, next season, be a proud holder of JMU season tickets, making me officially a "purple person". But for this game I will bravely don my UT orange and sit amid the sea of purple and cheer both teams. Tennessee should win reasonably easily, but I do expect my Dukes to give a good account of themselves under Coach O and will be extremely disappointed if they don't!

I think a home trip for Siera Thompson's senior season is good enough.

Tennessee at James Madison? Wow. Both has long storied history of WBB programs and They played against each other only once in the tournament or ever since 1980 - that was in Sweet Sixteen game where Tennessee won by 20, 72-52.

I'm gonna root for JMU to pull the upset.

Awwwwww yissssssss

Oh, yes, there will be game notes.

Also, please feel free to stomp St. Francis. Not only are they the arch-rival of one of my teams, I'm really skeptical of a coach who has brought in two entirely white recruiting classes.

The annual Kentucky game (recent series that is continuing) looked a lot better before Matthew Mitchell's programs was decimated by transfers.

SC is certainly an elite opponent.

Rutgers is coming off a 19-15 season (8-10 in the Big Ten). Not sure who the program has returning or what recruits the team has coming in.

The Vanderbilt game should be very interesting, as the program has a long history but is coming off a terrible year. White is the new coach, and the team lost three seniors. It will be a rebuilding process for White, but I would like to see a Duke-Vanderbilt series.

As an aside, had Duke not retained McCallie, Stephanie White would have been a leading candidate to replace her. She had privately expressed interest in the job, should it ever become open.

Loose summation of early Toledo non-conf schedule. Set schedule not released on U of T site yet. Another challenging schedule in store for an older, very competitive team. Although Toledo recruited a freshman 4 star ptg from Italy, the starting ptg position will be main question. Soph.ptg Boyd & Cunningham, a Murray St transfer last yr, as well as a couple of JUCO (overseas players) able to start immediately.

An NAIA game on the schedule is not what I'd call challenging. Notre Dame and UCLA, yes.

Think Dayton, The Bonnies, Detroit, Cleveland St. Davidson, Rhode Island, UIC and Texas Corpus Christie are not teams to sneeze at in all but say the top 10-15 rated D1 school's schedules.

Uncertain why Madonna, an NAIA team, was inserted but do understand the need to fill in schedule after Texas C.C. cancelled their Tourney. Also, Coach Cullop mentioned their attempts to keep games, generally, within 5 hrs driving distance this yr.

Kudos to the Sooners for taking on two of the best mid-majors from last season in the Rams and the Jackrabbits. Also, I'm impressed that the Rams are trying to upgrade their schedule by playing the Sooners. I want to see the Rams and the Buffaloes schedules so I can make my plans!

Nevermind. I looked. While South Dakota State does visit Denver University...the Rams have a fairly uninspired home slate, and the Buffaloes have yet to release theirs....
