Is it time to start the 2016-17 transfers and injuries thread?

This will be Taylor Manuel's third school, after leaving both Loyola and Purdue. Maybe it's not the coach?

The managing their personal lives off the court complaints would definitely have me wanting to move on.

Maybe the trouble is with the athletic dept. as much as the coach?

Not everything needs to get back to the coach and this statement tells me that pretty much everything does.

Sometimes the players just need someone to vent to and then it will blow over.

Sometimes they just need to know that they were listened to and given some guidance on how to handle the situation on their own.

Sometimes things do need to go to the coach. That needs to be the player's decision on how it's done. How specific do they want the conversation with the coach to be? Can names be used and/or specific situations that would identify the player? Do they want to face the coach on their own? Do they want someone from the ath. dept. in there with them when they do? (They need to know what the ath. dept. policy is on this.)

Mentions in the article that she was a Bollant recruit, but don't see her going to Illinois.

Not a transfer, but there is word that Lamina Cooper will play at Purdue next year. She was originally part of last year's freshman class but did not enroll and it was unclear if she would come this year or attend a different school. Cooper was a Top 50 recruit out of high school.

I had the same thought. One transfer is one thing. Two makes me think, uh-oh, there is something else going on here.

Interesting....I remember a story on her back when, and how she was 'destined' to play at Green Bay. Things change.

I had heard she got her situation resolved and would be at Purdue in the fall as well. This is huge for that program. With her coming in with Ae'Rianna Harris, this will be a very good class. By the way, Harris, who is 6'1, is extremely athletic who can get up and dunk. She is an excellent rebounder and has potential to be very good.

Maybe not, but Pepperdine? Yuk! Rice, OTOH, is an all-round good school and very good academically.

Interesting that they are both leaving. Were they both recruited by Rice out of high school?

Bianaca Blanaru makes a return to the SEC as she transfers to Georgia from Wazzu.

http://www.georgiadogs.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/042116aab.html

IIRC, Blanaru initially signed with Arkansas but was granted a release when Dykes was named head coach immediately prior to the start of her frosh year.

Anybody know how the ACC/Big10 challenge pairings are made?

Would they match up ND and MSU?

And now two UK commits have reopened their recruitment - Lindsay Corsaro (signed I thought) and Madison Treece (verbal). Very little information available. No mention of Mitchell's position being in danger that I've heard.

That million dollars he gave to the university probably assures him of job security unfortunately.
