I seem to remember that LA Tech had recruited a 6-5 player, I think from Florida, but on looking at the roster I don't see her. Tallest player is 6-4 Jr. Kevione Moten. Anyone know what happened? Is the girl academically ineligible, or did she not enroll? I don't remember her name and can't find anything about her on the site.

I believe you are referencing Kennedy Rushin from Georgia. I'm not sure what happened to her, but she was listed as a reserve center for her high school, so its probably not that much of a loss.

I have mo idea where she ended up, but this is
from a Gannett paper in the area this summer:
"Techsters have void without Rushin
Last week, Summitt announced Kennedy Rushin, a 6-foot-5 incoming freshman, won’t be enrolling at Tech.
Rushin was regarded as a raw prospect but one that could give the Techsters’ depth inside.
Now, Summitt said several of Tech’s newcomers will have to fill the void.
“It’s unfortunate that Kennedy won’t be joining us, but I think what that does is we’re going to have to have our three’s, our small forwards, even more ready to play power forward since we don’t have that extra body down low in the post,” he said. “We’ve got pretty good size with Brandi, Kev (Moten) and Reauna, but we’re definitely going to need a Tiara Davenport, a Dawn Gibson, a Jasmine LeBlanc to be ready to be down low and bang if we need them to.”"

Thank you both. I knew there was "Kennedy" somewhere but I couldn't remember if it was her name or the name of her high school. Oh well. Guess she couldn't cut it after all.

Why would you say such a thing?
There's no indication why she didn't enroll, and by all indication she never arrived on campus so it certainly doesn't appear that it was because she "couldn't cut it" academically or athletically. For all you know her mother was diagnosed with cancer or similar.
Why would you disparage the girl like that?

And why are you always trying to pick a fight? Oh, because you're Art. Of course. It's your M.O.
The girl was a reserve center at her high school. She may have felt she couldn't cut it in a fairly high-powered mid-major program that is going up. Or not. No disparagement meant, but of course YOU have to make up something.

Kennedy Rushin has enrolled at Gulf Coast St College, closer to home in Panama City Fl.
It's a JC so she can play right away and then transfer next year to a better school and basketball program than LaT.
They now list her as 6'7".

There is no indication that she refused to enroll because she decided the school was substandard or the program was not up to her expectations/standards.
Why would you disparage a fine school and program like that?

Well it's at least as likely, and certainly as well founded, as the other proposed theories.
And it's not like it would be difficult to find a four year school to which she might transfer that would satisfy both of those tests.

Could be she needed some help with academics too. There's always that.....
It's as good a theory as any.
