People keep insisting Nikki Caldwell is on the hot seat for her lack of success at LSU. I googled her contract and found this on the web. Notable: She's extended through 2019 and in order to buy her out, she must be paid $300,000, $50,000 less than her base salary for her remaining years. In other words, $900,000 if the school wants her out next year. Her base salary is as much as Les Miles and only $50,000 less than Johnny Jones, although both make more on certain compensation. Caldwell's certain compensation is 2.5 times more than DD Breaux, or Beth Torina and she ended up making four times what either made in 2014-15. Her w/l record is the weakest of the six LSU coaches profiled in the piece, and definitely the weakest of the non-revenue sports.

In other words, she's not going anywhere for a while. If anyone is angry, get angry at Aleva who extended her contract. He drank the Kool-aid, twice.

Well, Lavin did go to 5 Sweet 16s and an Elite Eight in his first 6 seasons.
