Wilson displayed some Kevin McHale low post moves.

Wilson and Collier make the five player All-Tournament team and Wilson wins MVP.

I believe that Thomas was sent back to the states for disciplinary reasons. But that's just a rumor.

I was wondering if Semrau will be able to corral Thomas, on the court.

Maybe she's a tasmanian devil off it, as well.

There have been more good "basketball plays" by the Russian team, imo.

Sometimes the US defense seems clueless.

That 4-pass fast-break by the US was sweet.

Collier seems like she might be one of those "the only one to get x pts, x rebounds, x assists, x steals in UConn history" kind of players.

Stevens should be all-world at Duke, imo.

Right on about Collier. She led the team in FG percentage, rebounds and steals. She also led in an interesting category, Efficiency Rating a category that maybe should be considered by the NCAA and others.

Collier was also tied with Wilson for the USA lead in double-doubles. She was second in the entire tournament in FG% and third in efficiency. (I wonder what "PM" means in the FIBA efficiency stats.)

PM = points per minute? Just an uneducated guess. Smile

After the July 22 game , the FSU women's bb twitter site mysteriously stopped tweeting about the games . I don't think Thomas was with the team the last weekend .

If you go to the FIBA player stats and click on "efficiency", the second to last column is "PM" and the last is "PMPG".

I now think it stands for total Plus/Minus and Plus/Minus Per Game, because the FIBA box scores track plus/minus.

Collier has the highest numbers both for PM (159.0) and for PMPG (22.7) of any player in the tournament who played all seven games. Shakayla Thomas had a 30.3 PMPG in four games.
