Amidst the rash of transfers and early exodus to professional opportunities there have been some high profile reneges on verbal commits.

Bret McCormick Reporting that ASGR 2016 #10 Destiny Slocum has withdrew her commit from the University of Washington

Also reporting that ASGR 2016 #15 Amber Ramirez has Decommitted from Oklahoma State.

Could this mean Texas has the inside track for Lauren Cox?

Collier is c/o 2018, 2 years younger than Cox. I don't think it matters too much. Collier probably just committed too early.

It means that a 14 year old decided to rethink a decision that will define a lot of her life into her early 20s.

Tanaya Beacham decommited from Xavier for 2016, committed to Toledo, where she attends Roger's HS. Rated #11 as a forward by ESPN.

Found Makaayla McIntyre in 2016's top Ohioans instead of 2015. Otherwise, eval/info on Makaayla seems basically correct. She was rated as no#29 forward by ESPN.

Anyone who lets their kid make a commitment, even a verbal, at 14 needs to be smacked. What's next, 10 year olds? 6 year olds? I note that scouts are already badgering LeBron's 10 year old son and LeBron is, quite rightfully IMO, telling them to bugger off and let the kid be a kid.
