So if the Norse move over to the Horizon League, that drops the Atlantic Sun conference to seven games. Does anyone know the minimum size that a conference has to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament? (I think it's seven, but I'm not sure.)

Well here's a chance for UConn to improve its schedule...it would add 4 games to the OOC schedule while providing conf. games vs NCAA T participant FGCU, which should appease the "USF is a worthy opponent" crowd.

1 of those OOC games likely would be vs USF, leaving the opportunity to schedule 3 more ranked teams.

Improved schedule, reduced travel costs....
