Calvert, as I recall, was a recruiting coup for Cooper ...

Is she ahead of Swoopes in the transfer race?

That's crazy. McKenzie Calvert had a big role for the Trojans this year and I thought her role would increase more her sophomore year as they are losing this seasons top 2 scorers in Alexyz Vaioletama and Kaneisha Horn and McKenzie was the 3rd leading scorer, so she would certainly have been one of the go-to players.

McKenzie's transfer is certainly more surprising than Amy's, especially with the way Amy committed to USC. I wonder what schools they are looking at.

To me, that suggests Jody Adams is headed to Kansas, or at least made it clear to her team that she wants to be headed to Kansas.

That was my first thought as soon as I read that. Seems as though a "Jody Adams to Kansas" announcement is close at hand.

My first thought too, especially when I saw that two of them were the Dapprich sisters, who would almost certainly follow her if she went there.

Much though it pains me to say it (because I thought very highly of her when she was an assistant at Rutgers), you actually should consider that good news.

Is there any explanation for Carlene Mitchell and Santa Barbara? Did no one want to come and play for her?

I don't know if this has any relation to what happened, but I wondered if her recruiting pipeline didn't really match up with the players who might come to UCSB - she was recruiting top-level national players at Rutgers, and at UCSB the pool was not at that level and probably needed to be very California focused.

Shocker fans seem to want Adams out of Wichita. The feeling seems to be that these players are through with Adams and may not be the last to leave.

Wow, really? I haven't seen anything out there about that. I wonder what the issues might be there.

WSU has had a good deal of success with Adams which makes the fanbase's feelings a little surprising.

This thread is from a WSU board. These people would be happy to see Adams leave. But, as was posted in the Coaching Movement thread, it looks like it won't be to Kansas.

It doesn't matter where you are, there are always people screaming for the coach's head. It also doesn't matter how successful the coach is. There are those who will always find reasons to hate the coach..."She's too tough/not tough enough; she's not so-and-so; she didn't get us to the NCAA/the Sweet Sixteen/Elite 8/FF; she doesn't recruit right; she's too butch; she doesn't comb her hair the right way; and most importantly, she's not from HERE!"

And that's why I don't frequent homer boards. Ugh.
