Congrats to OSU. At least according to Charlie's bracket, they are now a three seed in Spokane rather than a two in Albany. Much better! Now if we can get him to move Stanford out of that region, I'd be happy. Very Happy

How much influence does Charlie REALLY have? Is he God or something? There IS a selection committee......

Fun facts about the finals:

-This is the first #3 vs #4 match up in Pac-12 Tournament History

-This will be the 3rd time Stanford will play California in the finals (previously in 2008 and 2012)

-This is the 8th time 2 teams from California will meet in the finals

-Stanford is the 6th #3 seed to advance to the finals

-Stanford can be the 3rd #3 seed to win the Pac-12 Tournament Championship

-Stanford can win it's 11th Pac-12 Tournament Championship

-California is the first #4 seed to advance to the finals

-California is playing in their 2nd Pac-12 Tournament finals

-California can win it's 1st Pac-12 Tournament Championship

It still amazes me that Cal is only in their second Pac-12 Tourney Finals. You'd think that there'd be more over the Devani Hampton Years.

Embarassed Embarassed

That's a typo, this is California's 3rd Pac-12 Tournament Finals appearance.

Sometimes what he does makes sense, sometimes not.
I really don't see Tennessee going to Albany as the two seed, which is what he has. They won't be the bottom 2 seed.

Anyway, as of today he heard me and moved Stanford out of Albany. Kind of out of the pot and into the frying pan (Notre Dame) of course.

Stanford is the team I picked at the beginning of the tournament.

Stanford played its best game since beating UConn when they handled Oregon St Thursday. The emergence of Brittany McPhee adds one more cog in the Stanford machine. Even if they go in as the third or fourth seed, the Cardinal look like the best team right now.

I was at the tournament and had been unable to post until now, but I would like to make a few points:

1) I agree with the choice of Rashanda Gray, but I can also see Ruth Hamblen as the media did.

2) This was the best Pac 12 tournament yet. The top 4 teams could all do something in the NCAA tourney, and if Kelsey Plum gets hot even Washington could make the sweet 16.

3) I was impressed by the contingent from Oregon St. There were 1000 fans decked out in orange, and most stayed even after the Beavers were upset.

4) The future looks bright for the conference. Cal loses Gray and Boyd, Arizona State loses Promise Amukamara and Stanford loses Amber Orrange, but many of the top players are underclassmen.

5) UCLA and Colorado showed the depth of the conference. Only Utah and Arizona don't look competitive.

6) I thought that Jen Reese from Colorado deserved to be on the All-Tournament team.

7) Stanford won its 3 games by a total of 7 points.

8)Congratulations to Taylor Greenfield. Her performance over the last half of the ASU semi and the final were amazing. She only averaged 4 points per game this season, but she put the Cardinal on her back for 60 minutes and deserved the MOP award.

Stanford is the team I picked at the beginning of the season. I'm officially picking them for next season, too. Shooters + Tara = Success.

Do you all watch games from the whole season or just the tournament geez.

Why would Orrange be so low on this list, and don't get me wrong I have been one of her critics when she doesn't go all out every game but when she does she is the best in the league. She has also taken the brunt of the defense along with our shooters, ask any of the PAC coaches and they will tell you their plan. Our posts were NON existent and therefore put pressure on Amber and our shooters the whole season. Give them some damn credit.

Next if Gray and Boyd are so good and they have those McD players why were they not top of the PAC, do I need to say any more!!!

Finally Amber was the MOP of the PAC tournament, no way we even get to the second game without her. Flaker Taylor was able to score as she had not shown up the whole year and not one team tried to check her as they were overplaying and guarding Amber and our shooter. Went left every time with the weakest defender on her and no help. Did you watch her the rest of the season and in the NCAA, check her career stats, she started many games, no one knew why and was the worst defender and gave the worst effort on the team and as long as I can remember as a Stanford fan. (That's for the person who asked why she is clearly NOT my fav)

It's like the whole Gray thing, she didn't do anything against Stanford for her whole career, Alleyne on the other hand did.

For once I agree pretty much with Nix. Some Stanford hate happening for Orrange to be that far down the list. It truly doesn't make sense.
