What has Versyp's transfer rate been? Matty? I'm curious, particularly after seeing that her former players even transfer to programs like Loyola-Chicago, which isn't exactly top drawer, and play well and eagerly there, something is wrong at Purdue....

Michigan's incoming players Hallie Thome and Lauren "Boogie" Brozoski won both their state's Gatorade and Miss Basketball awards for Ohio and New York, respectively.
Thome is a 6'5" lefty post from Chagrin Falls. Her twin, Hanna, will play at Ohio U.
"Brozoski has been a big name in New York girls basketball since joining the varsity. The 5-foot-5 guard, who was named Gatorade's New York player of the year last week, is a two-time MVP of the Federation Tournament. She is averaging 18.2 points and seven assists for LuHi entering next week's Federation tournament in Albany."

I have a lot of issues with Versyp, but I actually don't think the transfer rate has been that bad - one a year or so. Not great, but not out of line. The recent transfers all seem legitimate to me: Taylor Manual (Loyola) seemed uninterested in getting in shape, Joslyn Massey (Central Florida) had academic problems, Camille Redmon (Boise State) graduated and didn't get accepted to grad school at Purdue, and now Haley Bodnar is homesick.
The problem is that they have all basically been big PF/C types which will left us playing small this year and will leave us playing young next year.

Taylor Manuel did not look that out of shape to me when I saw her against Missouri State. She is a big girl but didn't look overweight and moved quickly enough. Maybe she just didn't like Versyp or the trainers. Who knows. She looked pretty happy anyway.

I hope she is. I liked watching her play and wish she was still at Purdue.

Four of Seven of the B1G teams - Maryland, Iowa, Ohio State and Rutgers advanced to Round 2. Last season five were in, and all advanced.

Tyler Scaife scored her 1,000 career point tonight for Rutgers. She joins Kahleah Copper and Betnijah Laney as 1,000 point scorers for the team. She and Copper are back next year.

Couple of articles on Indiana and some of their player losses.

It will take a while for Coach Moren to get her own players but I will say the hire surprised me. I don't recall Indiana State even being that great. The Miller resignation was very late and maybe that decreased the potential candidate pool.

I find her take on recruiting to be rather odd, to say the least. The daughter of one of my college friends played at IU back in the Kathi Bennett days and I think had a very good experience. I haven't followed IU at all since then.
