On Thursday's the local paper has a page for kids. Kind of an educational thing. I think it's called The Mini Page.

Tonight's edition had a little blurb about Lauren and her fight! Smile

Really good article. Talks about some of her symptoms and the lack of knowledge about DIPG.

And a link to the online auction. Lots of #22 jerseys. I scanned quickly and I think that Stanford is the only one that is already sold. Nice that someone paid the $1,500 to buy it now!!!

A couple of "recent" articles and updates:

This first one is prior to reaching the million dollars but a nice piece on her and how hospice helps her.

I had no idea she gave her first jersey to Devon Still of the Bengals. What an amazing gesture. This kid is so inspirational in so many ways.

Awesome story. I have to say, seeing the latest pics of her was sad. You can just see how much it is affecting her now as she has changed a ton in the last couple of months.

On the bright side, we are into February and she has had quite a bit more time with her family than the doctors had thought.

Simply amazing the spirit that still exudes from her...cannot put into words how impressed I am with her inner strength.

Just saw this, excellent display of team unity. Too sick to make team Banquet, bring the banquet to the hospital.

I sure hope that the NCAA can come up with some kind of award to name after Lauren. A community service award, sportsmanship award, something.

Maybe a set of games like the Maggie Dixon Classic.

They have to do something for this remarkable young woman that has done so much for others.

I second that. I think a community service award would be a fine idea.

A couple of articles about Lauren.

Quote:
When asked how she'd like people to remember her.

"She was a hero and she showed cancer who's boss," Hill said.

They had a video on her during the first semi on Sunday, and her coach and assistant were there and shown on the screen. It was very moving.
