Why isn't UW in the top 25? I know they are receiving votes and are amongst the first few but I still think this team deserves to be ranked even in the 18-22 range.

16-4 Record
No bad losses. Several "good" and "great" wins.

2 Wins over Currently Ranked Opponents:
Won by 12 pts - #9 Florida State (80-6Cool
Won by 21 pts - #12 Texas A&M - (70-49)
Worth Noting: "Good" win over 14-5 Cal - (79-77)
Worth Noting: "Good" win over likely NCAA Summit Bid: S. Dakota - (96-82)

4 Respectable Losses - ALL to Currently Ranked Opponents
Lost by 10 pts - #24 Oklahoma (70-80)
Lost by 14 pts - #11 Arizona St (48-62)
Lost by 4 pts - #12 Stanford (56-60)
Lost by 8 pts - #7 Oregon State (67-75)

With the explosive play of Kelsey Plum and Davis on the perimeter this can be a scary team come NCAA Tournament. I think this is a Sweet 16 team even as a 6 seed or 7 seed.

Upcoming weekend at Cal and Stanford will be critical to this argument, followed by a home match-up against Oregon State. Beyond those 3, it looks like they will win the remaining 7 regular season contests.
If they can upset either Stanford or Oregon State (at home) which I think is do-able and then win the games they should we're talking about a team potentially finishing 25-5. Even if they drop both ranked games, 24-6 is top 20 worthy in my eye with this schedule and these wins.

And yet, there's 3 Pac 12 teams in today's poll.

Including at least one that is dramatically over-rated.

Just for not putting the "West Coast" Huskies into the Top 25 I hope the east coast gets 2 feet of snow.

The consolation is they get to live in Seattle.

PAC-12 is very competitive this year. There are no gimme games for any of the contenders. Even Oregon is coming along, Graves finally allowing some flashes of last years offense.

NOOOOO! It's called, "If it was so easy to get into the Top 25, there'd be 50 teams on that list!" Laughing

I'm not really griping 'cuz the polls don't matter, but it is notable our 2 wins against current top-25 opponents is as many as anyone has until you get all they way up to #17 Duke. Then UNC has 2, Nebraska has 1 (over the aforementioned Duke) then Texas has 3, but are struggling now... then you have TA&M at 12 who also has only beaten Duke, and Stanford who has only the one top-25 win over UConn, but did narrowly beat UW.

Hey, it's not Rutgers fault that it beat 2 top 25 teams and knocked them out of the rankings!

I wondered how long it would take someone to notice that.

I wondered which of the ranked Pac-12 teams PUmatty thinks is "dramatically over-rated", and then I saw "at least one".
