Howee Darlin, I think you are beating a dead horse. Soon we will have to call the humane society. Bottom line: If you want to play 10 players, get a C.

Cardy pooh bear, I know you have players today, but have not seen your lineup. No vespers this morning! So get your lineup in Twisted Evil

And my new girl did just what I needed today so am happy as a lark. Hopefully the rest of my team follows her lead all day.

Personally I like using the G, F, C designations. When I'm putting together my draft I enjoy looking at different positions and stats and see how different players match up with each other from the previous years. Typically I try to have at least 3 players with at C or F/C listing so it gives me some flexibility for my daily rosters.

I *get* all that. I really do. And I'm not implying that those position designations be done away with, just....if you have a "need" to make a "f" into a "c" for one game (as any coach just might do), is that really such a difference maker??

Yes it is a big difference maker, because if there are not rules regulating positions, what is to stop a person from doing it a second game, and a 3rd game, and so on.

On another note, you do realize Little is still on your team? You haven't been mentioning her in your lineups.

Yes, I'm aware of that. She's been benched.Razz

No Equine Beatings on my part, Myrtle Lovelumps: I was only reiterating the point because it seemed some here thought I was interested in striking all position designations, which would be highly incorrect. Shocked

Nope. It's not. Not in the scope of human events, and even not here, in our precious Fantasy league. But we can just agree to disagree and move right along. Laughing

It is a big difference when the forward you want to play at center puts up better stats then the center you have on your team.

Oh, ya....cuz that NEVER happens in real games. Rolling Eyes And, what....does she get her points doubled if she's a "c" in stead of a "f"? Again, the logic escapes me, but....it is what it is. I'm fine with the status quo. Confused

And in a real game positions are irrelevant, if I'm coaching a real basketball team I can put 5 players who are listed as guards on the floor at the same time and it wouldn't matter, no one would say a word (well they would if I lost every game because I only played guards, but that's a different story).

First you say you don't want "positions designations to be done away with" but then you are comparing this to real basketball games where positions designations are irrelevant. If there were rules that regulated positions played then your reasoning would make sense.

really good choice IMO. We've been thinking about her ourselves.

HappyCappie, White continues to not play so you might consider picking up someone else?

I think there was at least one other DNP the last couple of days so best if all of you check your players.

Lynx, Brown DNP today and Turner appears to be back so you may want to switch them.

Excellent choice. Even better choice if we start awarding style points.

Logic wasn't half bad either, y'all.

Iowa should play Drake every day.

I would also like to hereby retire Ms. Little (OK) from my roster, and pick up Ms. Lang (TX).

Lynx already signed Ms Lang so you may have to pay extra to get her.

Sorry about that. I will update stats and players after today's games. It's always wise to look over the last couple of pages of the thread for transactions as I usually only update the online version when I update the stats.

I think I picked up several, if not all, of your missed players yesterday.

Today's Knights in Shining Armor:
G: Knight, FGCU
G: Knight, Kansas
F: Gardner, Kansas

Monday December 22nd:
Travel Day Home

Tuesday December 23rd:
Hanukkah Break

Wednesday December 24th:
Christmas Break

Okay. I've booted Peyton Little off my roster. I'd like to add Rebekah Van Dijk of Texas-Arlington....give a kid at a low-profile school a shot. Cool

Sadly I'll have to waive an Ohio player, as Heidi Schlegel has been seriously underperforming after a nice start to the season.

I'll grab Mallory Ladd, Evansville to replace her.

That should help me in the short term to battle the infidels below me, and to try to find a crack in the pedestal at the top.
