Ooh first to vote!
They won't miss either that much, but I voted McBride because that kind of versatility at the guard positions is hard to come by. Turner making an immediate impact will lessen the blow of losing Achonwa. Replacing McBride will have to be more of a team effort. I think they're still a Final 4 team though. Might not matter.

ND will miss Kayla more because she is across the pond while Natalie is on the ND basketball staff while she rehabs from her ACL injury. But as far as on the court, it's Kayla again. Natalie gave ND good rebounding, pretty good defense, great passing, many fast break layups, and an abundance of leadership. I think that much of her contribution will be replaced with a big leap in level of play by Taya Reimer, who (like Ace) is more of a finesse 4 than a true PF. The leadership will probably have to come from other members of the team. Junior guard Michaela Mabrey has been named one of the captains, and PG Lindsay Allen will take some leadership responsibilities as well by nature of her position. Turner will probably replace Braker, and that will also lessen the loss of Ace. Senior Markisha Wright will probably replace Taya as the first forward off the bench.
But Kayla was an elite scorer and her presence prevented every team but UConn from concentrating too much on Jewell Loyd. Kayla also could bring the ball up the court and often started fast breaks following her rebounds. In the half-court she could take the ball to the hole and her jumper was reliable to beyond the arc. There is really no one on the team who can fill her shoes as a dominant wing opposite Loyd. The likely starter beside Allen and Loyd is Michaela Mabrey, but Cable could also garner some consideration. Neither is anywhere near as threatening to defenses (or offenses) as Kayla was.

They will miss the first team AA, Kayla more. With that said it be interesting to see how much of the sophomore leap both Reimer and Allen will make especially Allen as the quarterback of the team. Also, how much will Turner presence compensate for the loss of Natalie, especially on the defensive end and rebounding.

The allegedly 6-3 Reimer (#12) looks much shorter than Achonwa.

I actually went with Achonwa, although the greater depth (even in young) helps counter that.
While she can do some of it from the bench this year, one of the things that isn't always considered was that many times Achonwa was kind of a PG in the post, not in the ball handling aspect, but as far as leadership and calling out assignments, etc.
I think this season will be fun to watch regarding ND. A lot of young talent there, so it will be great to see who steps up and how.
