Idaho point guard, #4 Destiny Slocum became highest ranked player in the junior class to commit so far, having given her verbal to Washington last week. The first top 5 player to come to Seattle for at least 20 years, she is an important piece for Mike Neighbor's quickly blossoming Husky program.

Hopefully she is the first of a few top 100 signings for them; in 2016 and possibly 2015 as well. #40 Katie McWilliams from OR has them on her list but she also has Oregon, OSU and UCLA. I'd bet Graves and Rueck both want to keep her in-state, but with Slocum the Huskies have an elite point guard for at least the next 6 years. That has to be enticing for a recruit.

As a fan, the potential the Huskies have for the future is really exciting. Seattle is a GREAT city for women's basketball, and sports fandom in general, it just needs another great program to cheer for.

Washington just picked up 2016 Prospect Nations #60, Mai-Loni Henson. She is a 5'11" Wing.
Same club team that Kelsey Plum played on, Wiggins waves.

It's a beautiful day in the Neighborhood. Looks like he'll make it to another contract! Good for him. Has always seemed like a nice guy.

I was impressed by Deja Strother this summer. She totally dominated Tori McCoy (Top 5 2016 recruit) in one of the summer games. Still needs to lose weight, but she could be really good.
