Football is the engine that drives college sports. Everything else is secondary. ADs across the country are focused on the football programs for their schools to be successful as possible. Women's college basketball is NOT a revenue producing sport so the hierarchy of importance for ADs to achieve excellence in this sport is not very high for most schools.

Coaches on the hot seat? It is a good talking point for women's college basketball fans but for the general public they do not give a damn.

IIRC, Cal fans have hated UCLA since I was a little girl in Berkeley more years ago than I care to count. Just not as much as they hate Stanford. Laughing

Other UC campuses take issue with UC Berkeley calling itself "Cal" which can imply they are THE University of California. I believe the nickname "Cal" was given when they WERE the only Univ of California. Personally, I wish each campus had their own colors instead of all of them sharing the blue/yellow/white color scheme. I went to UC Davis many moons ago and this was an issue way back then (late sixties, early seventies).

well CTT at ASU just got an extension thru 17-18 so I guess she's off the P12 hot list anyway. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ap-source-asu-extends-both-024857053--ncaab.html

"Players at all levels deserve to be given the means of maximizing their potential and succeeding"

I guess that includes academics too?
