You've got to add Nera White to the list. Maybe not number one, but on the list.

I'm puzzled how you could have a list of 10 and not have Diana Taurasi on the list.

And it's probably ten years premature to be even mentioning Breanna Stewart in such a discussion.

The teaser only mentioned the 5 of the 10 who are already in the Hall of Fame and the ones NOT considered because they have more to prove. The article itself includes Taurasi as one of 5 candidates not yet in the Hall of Fame but already deserving to be on the list (along with Tamika Catchings, Lauren Jackson, Lisa Leslie, and Sheryl Swoopes).

Sorry, my mistake. Misread the teaser. Thank you for clarifying that.

For decades there has been on going debate as to who is the greatest male basketball player of all, Russell, Jabbar, Bird, Robertson, the Doctor, Magic, Jordan? It is an ever changing landscape shifting always by the sands of time which changes our perspective (tip of the hat to Marshall McLuhan). For me, Togo Palazzi. Why not. 😊

By the way as far as greatest women player of all time was Babe mention?

The relatively recent existence of the W makes this comparison problematic. Modern players have opportunities to improve or diminish their reputations that past players didn't. Put another way; if the W didn't exist Chamique Holdsclaw would be on this list and Cynthia Cooper wouldn't.

Anyway, Semjonova is the answer.
