The article is wrong on two things in this sentence:

1. The limit is 30%, not one third.
2. Post-season tournaments after the conference tournament don't count, so they only played 30 games as far as the medical hardship rule is concerned, not 31.

Conference tournaments count as one game regardless of the number of games played, but Vandy was one and done in the SEC tournament last season so that doesn't affect the game count.

30% of 30 games = 9 games. She barely made the cutoff, but had she played one more game she would not be eligible.
