If Kansas does finish eighth, how much longer will Bonnie Henrickson get?

I can see this playing out a LOT like last year's Pre-season poll: Not exactly "spot on". TX could certainly be in the running, but without Imani McGhee-Stafford....? I dunno. I'll be UNsurprised if Baylor finishes 2nd....or 7th.

Verrrrrry fluid dynamic, I'd say. But I can tell ya this: I'd have NO CLUE how to arrange 'em, either. The best I could do is tell you who probably should be in the Top Four, and who should be in the Bottom Four. Razz

Good question...but they did have back to back Sweet 16 appearances in 2012 & 2013. Does that buy her some time? Hard to believe she has been there 10 years and going into her 11th.

I know they had a tough year last year but I would think those 2 miracle runs have bought her a couple more years at least. I mean, they gave her quite a grace period at the beginning of her time there as it took 7 or 8 years to get to the NCAA's in the first place.

As Howie said, no clear cut faves. Texas looks to be getting the top recruits whereas the last few years, Baylor was pulling them in. It seems no one else is recruiting at that level so over the next few years they should have the advantage although it may be too soon to see that effect for this upcoming year.

I think Mike Carey is the best coach in the league. He seems to have a system in place and challenge yeAr in and year out without having the Griners and the Sim. OK states Littrell might also be one to watch. He inherited Budkes players and has done well with them. As he pulls his own kids in it will be interesting to see how he fares.

Sherri isn't quite as hot as she used to be on the circuit.

I think Kansas has 3 things working in their favor this season: 1) Overall this is the weakest the Big 12 has been in as long as I have been watching WBB. 2) Their top 3 players are seniors. 3) One of those seniors is easily the best post player in the conference. Those things added up means Kansas wins games they normally wouldn't be expected to. I think they'll finish in the top 4.

I would have put Texas @ 1 if they still had McGee-Stafford, but I'm surprised the coaches didn't go with Baylor. It seems people are expecting Atkins to be the real deal.

^This didn't really occur to me until I read this post....and I'd have to agree. Doubtfully any FF contenders in this bunch, maybe not even an Elite Eight presence, eh? I'd love to be wrong, tho! Razz

I heard McGee Stafford was out but is it for the whole year?

Nevermind, I just looked it up. They say 'maybe' for conference. Obviously makes a difference when she comes back.
