Somebody got their wish. Of course other than PSU, Nebraska, and OSU no Big 10 schools seem to take WBB very seriously. Although Iowa was a nice surprise this year.

Michigan State and Iowa, too. Michigan's waking up somewhat. And bringing in Rutgers and Maryland will help in that regard.

Considering that Iowa has the longest NCAA Tourney streak of any Big 1G Schools, it's incredibly rude to say that they don't take WBB seriously.

Evidently the program that has been to 3 Final Fours and actually has a National Championship (something no other Big Ten team can claim)...not to mention the most B1G tournament titles really doesn't take WBB seriously either.
So funny to see Nebraska and Michigan listed...it's only been in the last few years that they even gave a single rat's ass about WBB, esp Michigan.

Not sure where that crack came from but it's obvious you don't know much about the Husker program before the B1G.

Quite true. The Big 12 was ruled by Nebraska, if for a short time. Fine tradition in Lincoln.

Wait, what? First, I would like to apologize to Row6 because it wasn't meant as an insult to the program or anything like that. The point was that the school didn't really pump a bunch of money into the program to get it to an elite level and keep it there until fairly recently (last 10 years or so). I have a ton of respect for the Huskers program so it wasn't intended to be a negative crack.
That said, for someone to say that the Big 12 was "ruled" by Nebraska would be just a tad overstating things. Nebraska won exactly 1 Big 12 championship (09-10 season). I actually thought they were going to take off when they hired Sanderford from Western Kentucky. His first 3 years were decent and then he tailed off so they replaced him with Yori. She started out slow but then it appears as though that the school began to really take WBB seriously and dump some money into the program. (I believe that is about the time that Oklahoma had gone to the title game and also went to the Sweet 16 a couple of times while Baylor also won their first NCAA title.)
Anyway, as for "ruled" part, here are Nebraska's finishes in the Big 12 (1996-97 - 2010-11):
Angela Beck - 6th
Sanderford - 3rd, 5th, 5th, 10th, 11th
Yori - 12th, 7th, 7th, 6th, 4th, 6th, 7th, 1st, 12th
7 of 15 years they failed to even finish in the top half.
Again, this is a program that I believe is going to be at/near the top of the Big Ten for quite some time as Yori has done a very good job.

I think Wisconsin's hire of Bobbie Kelsey represented an attempt to get serious, although the results obviously don't show it.
