Rutgers wins! By a point. USF sure play a lot of close games.

Any question that Cappie is a POY candidate? But CVS ain't gonna be happy with this one. Rutgers has been playing in a funk all year. I keep believing that they're better than they've shown.

I have to hope that when Ajavon gets back into game shape that Rutgers will play better, but 40 of the 65 points on one player is not good. Balance is a nice thing.

23 / 44 = 52.3%

40 / 65 = 62%

So Cappie accounted for more of the scoring than her dominance in shot selection would indicate...

Cappie shooting percentage:

14 / 23 = 61%

Non-Cappie Scarlet Knights shooting percentage:

10 / 21 = 48%

If you're CVS, do you tell Cappie to keep shooting? I would. (Especially since Ajavon, injured this fall, may still require limited minutes: she took 8 shots in 20 minutes and sank 5.)

Dickson's 37 wasn't too shabby either. Now I'm really intrigued by her.

USF probably is a better team than most people realize. The RPI is a bit deceptive because a good part of it probably comes from losing games to NC State, Michigan State and LSU, but the Bulls did beat DePaul in December.

That said, I thought this wouldn't be that tough a game for RU. It may be the road woes that seem to strike RU every year.

Cappie rules. I've really turned into a Rutgers fan! I have a local college team to root for! Smile Smile

Why wasn't this game on TV somewhere?

Can't wait for next week v. Temple.

Is Rutgers vs Temple on TV? If it's in NJ I predict a blowout Scarlet Knights win. If it's in Philly, who knows?

Yes, I would want my star player to take shot. I wouldn't want them to take EVERY shot, but if or when your teammates aren't putting up shots or aren't knocking them down, you need to step up and knock them down.

Kia Vaughn needs more touches/attempts for RU, I'd also like for Carson to take more than 3 shots.

Dickson also took 23 shots, Cappies 23 attempts and 14 makes won the game for Rutgers.

The game is in Piscataway (or, as the SMS folks used to say, freakin' Piscataway).

was watching the game stats through the Rutgers site. Must have been great. I popped in with about 2 to go.

I see 2 for Cappie
2 for Dickson
2 for Cappie
2 for Dickson
2 for Cappie game over.

Why didnt' they just clear the court and let 'em go one on one! Twisted Evil

I do NOT get freakin' ESPNU, although apparently I get every OTHER ESPN channel. I have already "requested" it from Time Warner. Whatever. Someone post a weblink, please??

LOL. There was at least one possession towards the end of the game when Cappie was guarding Dickson. I don't think Dickson scored that time, but I'm not sure.
