Hi everyone. New to the board but big Maryland supporter. Check out my blog when you get a chance: terpswomenshoops.blogspot.com.

I see that ripleydc was the one who told CameronCrazy 1974 that Toliver would be out six weeks. Just wondering who your source was as none of the media around here were even close to reporting that fact.

Anyone else scared about the BC match up on Thursday?

Welcome Shocked

My favorite Maryland player is Shay Doron. I'm not worried about Boston College coming up, as Maryland has been on a nice streak of blowing people out.

Well, perhaps some worrying is in order. Md has been on a nice streak of blowing out cream puffs. BC is NOT a cream puff by any stretch of the imagination. They nearly beat Ohio State, they just knocked off Stanford. BC will be playing its inaugural ACC game, and on its home court. They are dangerous. Md had better be really focused on Thursday for this game.

Welcome Joey. I'm a big Terps fan too. About time we had a first rate program once again in the national capital area! Very Happy

Dang this bandwagon is filling up fast. I may not post about them - they're too good and thus fall outside my jurisdiction - but as far as teams that have a legit shot at the Final Four this season, they're far and away my favorite.

I'll leave the posting to y'all, but I will be following along and rooting quietly. Remember, ya don't have to fear the turtle if ya love the turtle.

BC at home is a tough team; and new to the conference opponents should scare anyone, ask the UConn Men's team! Shocked

That game shocked me as well. Shocked I saw Marquette play early in the season, and they didn't look like they'd be able to hold UConn's gym shorts. What a difference a month makes! Smile

I think the BC game will be close, but I'll give BC the game because

1. They're at home
2. It's early in the ACC season

Hmmm...you were discussing a blowout. Since when is a win by three points in overtime a blowout???

Because BC has issues with ranked teams. They did beat Stanford at home, though. Not sure how much that win is worth these days.

Yep! Cool Just like I predicted Idea BC wasn't anything to worry about.

I hope Maryland makes it to the Final Four too.

I'm not jumping on Maryland's bandwagon. They've got to show me more than an OT win over BC. If they beat UNC in Chapel Hill, we'll talk.

I predicted a win over Boston College last time. Idea However, the BC rematch is sandwiched in between UNC, Duke and NC State... No doubt Maryland has a significantly tougher schedule coming up.

Hey Joey, any truth to the rumors about Sa'de Wiley-Gatewood tranferring to Maryland?

North Carolina: Latta ('07), Miller ('08 )
Maryland: Toliver ('09)

Not sure how much PT she expects from either school. It looks to me as if they already have starting PGs lined up. Why not go to Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, or NC State? They're losing their starting PGs after this season. Why go from a team where you were the only PG on the roster to a team where you have no clue whether or not you'd be the starter?

BTW, Alexis Hornbuckle had an outstanding night running the point.

RE: Wiley-Gatewood & Maryland
I was watching the Md Women's show, Under the Shell, (which is great) and in one scene- shot at someones' house- this one young lady resembled Wiley-Gatewood. Granted they didn't show her face and it was a quick 'pan'.... so I could be wrong Surprised) Anyone else catch this episode.

If the SWG to MD story is true, MD will have an incredible backcourt rotation: Doron, France, Tolliver and SWG.

With Langhorne, Coleman and Harper up front.

Wow.

I think right now everyone is just waiting to see how her UNC visit goes, but from what I have heard, she really like her College Park trip.

BigOrange123 - I saw that too.
